Riksgransen, Sweden
At around 200km over the Arctic Circle, Riksgransen's ski season runs considerably late, commencing in February and enduring until late May or June. Small yet highly preferred, this little resort holds a boondocks feel befitting its far northern area – who wouldn't have any desire to attempt its late winter powder or tackle moving pistes under the midnight in the month of May and some part of June. Six lifts and 28 runs, 50% of them dark, are nothing when matched with its immense, cliffy back-nation; heliskiing here is very reasonable and from May could be possible after dusk, setting you free in a powerful scene of soft-shaded slope.
